Springs Preserve Ethno-botanical Garden

Interpretive Writing

Collaborated with Southern Paiute Elders, language holders, and consultants for ethnobotanical content and language translations, both in-person and virtually. Wrote interpretive text for graphic panels, and AV briefs for additional interactive QR codes.

Valley of Fire State Park Visitor Center

Content Development

Developed a schematic level report for a new visitors center. Established themes and organized content within thematic groupings within the exhibit space. Advocated for content and participated in both internal and external design charettes, and influenced the creative direction of the exhibits. Developed potential media opportunities within the exhibits, and wrote sample text for graphics. Coordinated the flow of information between internal project managers and designers, with the client team and architects.

Interpretive Planning

Wrote an Interpretive Plan for funding generation and community support. Worked with designers to establish a design concept, conducted subject matter interviews to generate potential content, and held in-person and virtual workshops to develop potential visitor experiences and thematic direction.

Researched content within a thematic framework, allocated content throughout the exhibit space, presented design iterations in weekly client meetings, and coordinated the production of CGI visualisations with an external visualisation studio.

Established a thematic framework, then assessed potential assets like artefacts and archival images per the thematic groupings. Participated in client creative workshops. Procured images for graphic display, and assisted in content mapping and case layouts.
